Since, Snowfields, rocky slopes and
lofty peaks are at the door of Tehran’s inhabitants,
excursion is a favorite pass time and so is skiing.
Due
 to Geographical status, Iran’s ski resorts have
a significant privilege, which is Temperature and
sun shine. About 70% of winter days are sunny with a
pleasant temperature around (-15) centigrade at
night and (0) centigrade during day time, therefore
these features attract many Domestic and
International tourists to different ski resorts of
Iran annually. The ski season is from December
through April or even early May.
There are many ski resorts all over Iran, but some
of the best known on vicinity of Tehran are Shemshak
Ski slope with length of 1450and altitude of3050m
above sea level, Towchal slope with length of 3100
and altitude of 3850 m above sea level and Dizin
slope with length of 2800 and altitude of 3600 m
above sea level. The latter is the best run and
since recognized by FIS several international
